Cookie ingredients

  • 3 ¼ cups flour
  • ¾ cup unsalted cannabutter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg

Icing ingredients (optional)

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla


  • Large mixing bowls

  1. Add the flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, baking soda, ginger, and cloves to a large mixing bowl, and mix the powder until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. In a clean bowl, blend the cannabutter and sugar on high with an electric mixer for two minutes.
  • Now toss in the egg, vanilla, molasses, and reduce the speed of the electric mixer to medium, blend the ingredients for another two minutes.
  • Reduce the speed to low, slowly incorporate all of the flour into the dough.
  • Use a rolling pin to flatten out the dough, then leave it on a cookie sheet to cool for at least two hours before moving on.
  • At this point, you can retrieve the cookie dough and use the cookie cutters to cut out small cookies or a knife to turn the whole thing into one giant gingerbread man cookie.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 F, and while you wait for it to warm up, remove all of the excess dough from around the chosen shape.
  • Bake small gingerbread man cookies for anywhere from 8-10 minutes or until golden brown on the outside. For a giant cookie, baking will take closer to 15-20 minutes.
  • Once the cookies have baked, remove them from the oven, and allow them to cool down before preparing the icing.
  • Add all of the icing ingredients to a mixing bowl, and then blend them until smooth.
  • Fill an icing bag with the freshly made sugary goodness, and use it to decorate the cookies as you like.
  • When you’re done icing, the cookies will need at least one hour to harden at room temperature. Otherwise, the icing may transfer between them in storage.
